Now this girl is the *ahem*!!! Please, please, please give her freshman
album a try; it's a soulful effort that sounds fresh and not at all like
a throwback to a bygone era. Some have compared her voice to
Lauren Hill's and there are certain similarities: they share a raspy
richness which vibrates with emotion, turning songs into vibrant
tales featuring all the usual suspects -- love, loss, strength, fun. I
will say, Jazmine's album lacks the completeness of Lauren's classic,
The Miseducation..., but that's to be expected of a newbie effort.
Still, like our Lauren Hill, her album has more winners than losers
making her a singer to look forward to!

Hello, Sasha! I am actually pretty impressed with this effort by
the former front of Destiny's Child. There is a power to her vocals
here that I never really felt in her previous solo albums. Don't get me
wrong! There were a number of aural gems on her last two records
but there is a balladry here which really serves to (better) showcase
the style and strength of her voice. Her alter-ego, Sasha Fierce also
makes an appearance with sassy, beat-stomping authority. It is an
enjoyable romp, the tour through Sasha's half of the CD, but buy it
for Beyonce's!
I admit it took me a minute to like -- the first? I think it's the first --
single, Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It). It didn't instantly 'wow' me
the way her previous fast tempo songs have, but I eventually got there.
I hate 'If I Were A Boy', it's awkward; so yeah, no. The songs I really

There's a lot to like but those are my favorites so far. ^_^
