Two posts in one day, I know! I must be bored. Hee. I really do want to make this a regular thing but I hate making promises I have a history of not keeping so let's take it slow, okay? So, I really couldn't leave this blog today without jotting down my latest musical loves. Two out of four really bring the beat, so too do the last two selections just in a different way. It's all about flow with those two.

Hello Delta! An Australian ingenue (ingenue? Is she young enough to be an ingenue? Whatever) with oodles of talent and a lovely voice that has me taking another look at the English-language pop scene. Fair is fair, however, Leona got me curious first. Isn't she ridiculously gorgeous?! Those f--kin' eyes!!! Sigh, I hate her for all the right reasons. I didn't want to like her, really I didn't but her voice is heaven. Didn't I mention her voice... being like heaven... literally, like heaven?! Though the sonics are different, her vocals move in a similarly transportive way as Whitney's, pre-coke fiend days. Who could not like her ubiquitous song, "Bleeding Love"?! So, "Bleeding Love" for Leona and "Believe Again" for Delta -- at least those are the songs I loved from these two, you might find better aural gems.
........Isn't this The Coolest album cover ever?! .

Speaking of something I really didn't want to like... Madonna's "4 Minutes" is now in near-constant rotation on my sansa (like an iPod, but, methinks, better). Damn you, magic duo of Timberland and Timberlake! Is there there anything your musical touch can't make wonderful? I might be alone in my opinion on that one but I haven't found one song from these two I've disliked, no matter who becomes the third spoke in their wheel. Even ones to which I wouldn't necessarily come crawling back are lovely to listen to on the odd afternoon. Then "4 Minutes" led me back to other tasty Madonna favorites from decades past and yeah, I'm looking at a Madonna music revival.
Last but not least is, Lupe. Ah, Lupe -- you remember him, right? I mentioned him several months ago, his song, "Superstar", had caught my ear and refused to let go. Well, turns out several other songs off that fantabulous album are worthy of equal attention. In fact, give the entire album a whirl, with each song flowing into the next, its cohesive narrative takes it several (hundred) steps above the usual dreck. Seriously, get your hands on the album, The Cool. You can pick and choose your favorites of the bunch but listen to it from beginning to end at least once.
